Rafting on Mureș river
The Mures River is an ideal place for beginners, or for those who want to enjoy the natural beauties of the valley, while paddling on its friendly, clear water.
Mures is one of Romania’s longest rivers originating from the Hasmas mountains, it flows through the Gheorgheni Depression, and separates two mountain regions the Calimani Mountains from the Gurghiu Mountains.
The Mures Valley is one of the longest (over 50km) and most beautiful in the country, offering unforgettable scenery for hikers and paddlers.
We usually use 2-3 person in-line rafts for this area during the summer, bigger rafting boats are used only in the springtime. If water levels are too low we paddle closer to Tg Mures between Gornesti and Sangeorgiu de Mures.
