On the tracks of bears and wolfs in the Calimani Mountains

Program:

Day 1.
We meet at Bistra Muresului, from where we will start our hike towards the Mountains. After we will put on the snowshoes we will listen to a short briefing about using the equipment. We will do a full day hike following various tracks different animal species (wolfs, bears, wildboar, etc.). In the afternoon we will return to our cars and we will drive to our lodge at Caliman Equiestrian Center.

Day 2.
After having breakfast we will hike to the tree trunk caves at Rastolita, a distance of approximately 6 km. A tree trunk cave, a natural phenomenon, is formed after volcanic lava flows over fallen trees. With the passage of time, the lava hardens around the decomposing trees, creating a cave, the sides of which bear a negative imprint of the trees.

Snowshoeing and other activities in Hăşmaş Mountains

Program:

Day 1.
We meet near Gheorgheni city and we will travel together towards Pangarati pass. After we park our cars, we will split the equipment (snowshoes or touring skis). We will hold the instruction and start towards our objective Lunas (Ciofronca) Rock. Total distance for this daz is 10 km. We will end the tour at the same place where we have started. We will spend the night in a pension in the vicinity of the Red Lake.

Day 2.
In the morning we will start to hike to the Killers peak where we can admire the landscape end the other peaks (Suhardu Mic, Mar, Licaș, etc) which are surrounding us.  After a short rest we can head towards the place where we can try the ice climbing. In the afternoon we will go back towards the Red lake.

Alternative activities for any of the 2 days: snowshoeing on both days, speology in Sugau cave, inglu building, etc.
